What to expect in your first appointment

Upon completion of your initial assessment we will explain to you, in simple terms, where your problems lie, and then provide you with a structured treatment and rehabilitation plan that will suit you. 

Our physiotherapists have a range of skills including manual therapy, dry needling, taping and exercise prescription. 

Our Experience

Telehealth

You can continue your physiotherapy care from the convenience of your own home via our telehealth appointments. We will connect with you through a video link on your laptop, phone or tablet. We will be able to assess you and further direct your rehabilitation.

On booking your appointment we will send you information to help you be prepared for your appointment. 

Our physiotherapists have extensive post graduate training and experience in the management of a wide range of sports injuries. We regularly work with both professional and amateur athletes and have delivered lectures at  at university level in the area of sports medicine.  We are ready to join your team to address any current or potential injuries. As well as injury management we also offer advice and planning on injury prevention and pre-habilitation prior to any required surgeries.

Low back pain is the most common musculoskeletal disorder in the adult population. We can help you understand the underlying nature of your pain and help you find strategies to improve how you manage your wellbeing. This may include manual therapy, dry needling/acupuncture, clinical exercise including strength or Pilates based programmes.  Most of all we will look to find solutions that match your goals.

Our rehabilitation programs are not just appropriate for sports people, we regularly work with people who are recovering following surgery, an extended period of illness or a neurological condition.  We value the role of rehabilitation both in preparing you for surgery and assisting you reach your potential down the line post operatively. We are happy to discuss any particular queries over the phone.

Young sports people have particular needs and injury profiles that are unique to the growing child or teenager. We specialise in the management of adolescent or paediatric sports injuries. We also utilise our expertise in developing programmes for both injury prevention and performance improvements.

Our Teenage Pilates program is now running since 2005 and we have seen the benefits time and time again. 

We have extensive experience in the management of Joint Hypermobility Disorders for eg. Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and regularly see complex cases involving POTs or other autonomic disorders. As a clinic group we have hosted continued education and attended specialist conferences relating to best practice. We offer a holistic long term rehabilitation pathway to help you understand and improve your general well being and functional capacity.

 

It is estimated that over 300,000 people in Ireland have Osteoporosis with just 15% diagnosed each year (Irish Osteoporosis Society). One in two women over fifty have osteoporosis. While more commonly diagnosed in women it is worth noting that one in four men over fifty have osteoporosis.

 

Appropriate exercise can be used to improve your muscle strength and balance. We can help you to reduce your risk of falling. This is done in conjunction with dietary and medication interventions as recommended by your GP. Our physiotherapists are skilled both in the assessment and treatment of osteoporosis with targeted rehabilitation. We offer both 1:1 and group-based options.

We work with a network of specialist Women’s Health Physiotherapists who may recommended our services for both pregnancy and post partum rehabilitation. We are experienced in the management of pregnancy related pelvic pain and in the prescription of exercise programs post partum. If you have recently had a baby or are experiencing some pelvic floor issues we may recommend that you visit a Women’s Health Physiotherapist prior to your first appointment with us.
